Why it is hard to Forgive -- Satan Still Accuses

Many believers have placed themselves at a crucial disadvantage in refusing to accept that we have an Enemy who wants to frustrate the grace of God from working in our lives.

This Enemy will remind us of our failures:

"And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. 2And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? 3Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. 4And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment. 5And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by." (Zechariah 3: 1-5)

Joshua means "God saves", and we must have this knowledge within us at all times, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10: 5)

He has paid for everything -- our sins, the sins of others, and every other need that we may have in Him!

I am now learning this, now more than ever -- Satan does not stop attacking, Satan does not stop tempting us with thoughts of fear and dread or shame in our lives.

For this reason we are called to keep receiving the gifts of righteousness and grace from Him:

"For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ." (Romans 5: 17)

God bless the ministry of Pastor Joseph Prince, who then revealed to me that we receive this grace and righteousness actively, continuously:

"for if by the offence of the one the death did reign through the one, much more those, who the abundance of the grace and of the free gift of the righteousness are receiving, in life shall reign through the one -- Jesus Christ."

Keep seeing Him, keep receiving His goodness and grace, and keep reigning in life in Him! Satan will accuse, but just simply rest in His grace, that all is taken care of -- and He will glorify you!
