Obama's Minute Bipartisanship for the Fed

I commend U.S. Senator David Vitter of Lousiana for blocking President Obama's replacement nominees to the Federal Reserve board.

In a rare showing or bipartisanship, President Obama nominated two obscure bureaucrats to man one of the most cryptic yet influential agencies in the country, a fiat currency mill which is eroding our savings, our financial stability, and our confidence in government.
The runaway inflation instigated by this runaway money press, combined with lax interest rates and bungling, onerous federal regulations have done nothing to protect the basic elements of the free market from corruption and collusion. David Vitter has served not just his constituents but also the country by bringing necessary attention the elusive and obsessive role of the Federal Reserve in our nation's economy.

I only wish that more senators would summon the courage not just to stall the staffing of the Federal Reserve, but move for its immediate and necessary abolition.
