Reflections on "My Utmost" December 8

"No matter who or what we are, God restores us to right standing with Himself only by means of the death of Jesus Christ."

Pastor Joseph Prince was emphasizing this magnificent, inescapable truth this morning from a rebroadcast of one of his earlier sermons: "Condemnation Kills"

Our guilt is enough to drive us into despair. Yet the very condemnation that would kill us, put us out of the presence of God for eternity, is the very guilt, the very shame, the dishonor, that Jesus bore on the Cross. He died our death, he died for our sin. He died to set us free from the sting of death and the curse of the law.

Now, by the grace that He gave to us, we can walk in His Spirit, and His Spirit gives us life, direction, and truth. . .

Could it be otherwise?

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)
